A Cooperative Learning Strategy

Process

This activity is used as an introductory activity for the whole class or for groups.

1. Establish the question or problem.
2. All ideas are accepted, recorded and numbered.
3. State the criteria for evaluating the ideas – feasible, appropriate and specific.
4. Allocate a tick, cross, or question mark to each item.
5. Ask students to choose and record the numbers of the best three ideas.
6. Review the items again and highlight those receiving the most votes.
