You are going to select or get 4 - 5 students to volunteer to read the following article from The Conversation 17 December 2024. They will be the Sages!

The Conversation

Then there will be teams of 3 - 5 students and they will go to the different sages to find out about the content of the article. These students will ask questions of the sages.

Get the students to follow "Circle the Sage" strategy.

 

Students

1. The selected or volunteer students (4- 5) of you, are to read the article from The Reading Conversation 17 December 2024 to become "Sages" about this article.

2. The rest of the class are to form teams of 3 - 5 students. These students are to go to different "Sages" (break up the teams to do this) and to listen to the "Sage" tell you about this article.

3. The team members are to then ask the Sages questions about the article.

4. If there is a query the Sage can't answer, then the team can ask another Sage.
