1. Form a group of 3 - 4 students.

2. Brainstorm

Discuss and brainstorm within this group who you would like to raise money for - either a charity or cause! This could be a local charity or cause that needs your help.

OR

Look at the following charities or causes that you think your group might like to help. Work out the reasons why you select a particular charity.

3. How will you go about raising monies for your charity or cause?

Look at

a. School Fundraising Ideas - there are lots of ideas here.
b. Sign Up Genius - 50 ideas here.

Just use the ideas from these websites to help your group decide which idea(s) you are going to follow up on.

4. Your group will need to work out:

a. a budget
b. initial expenses
c. how you will advertise to obtain the maximum results
d. how you will get your parents and guardians to help

Also work out within your group who would be the Treasurer, the Marketing Person, the Webperson, the Negotiator/Organiser.

5. Write a letter to your teacher explaining why your group's idea and the charity or cause is the best!
