Background.

The school has a number of policies - from WHS [tree safety etc] to when a student is given a detention. You are going to investigate one policy that interests your group. Make sure that the other groups in your class do not have the same policy as you!

3. Write down a list of questions or clarifications that you would like the Principal to address about this policy. Provide those questions to the Principal and organise a time to see her/him. A
sk if you can create a video or make an audio of their answers.

4. Interview your Principal or Deputy. This interview should only last 5 - 10 minutes as Principals and Deputies are busy people.

Presentation

5. Write up an explanation of the policy and the reasons why this policy exists.

6. As a group, create a presentation in PowerPoint or Prezi Prezi logo to explain this policy to your class, or school, teachers, or parents.

1. You are to train "teach" a partner a new technology as this is a great way to learn new technologies for yourself. Go to Jane Hart's Top Tools for Learning. Jane's site is renewed each September to reflect the tools used in Education.

2. Find a technology that you are unfamiliar with - there are plenty to select from each year. Go to the website of your selected tool - they are all linked and explore the tool.

Learn how to use this tool and explore what it can be used for as students.

3. Write up the instructions on how to download it and how to use it.

4. With your partner, you are now to explain about the value of this tool and how to use it to them.

5. At the end, get your partner to show you where you could have more clearly explained a section so they weren't as confused.

6. Rate yourself as a trainer out of 10 stars.

7. Swap roles and become the person to be trained.
