Create a memory box by collecting things from the past - like old birthday cards, or Christmas cards, or photos. You could always ask if it would be ok with your grandparents to videotape them while they answer your questions. This file could also be stored in your memory box.

Individually or in pairs, go to the local council chambers and find out all you can about your suburb. 2. Find out: why it was named? the street names; old maps and census records. 3. Draw a sketch or map of your suburb showing the local school[s], parks, and any shops.
