3. Together write a script for the "Next Instalment" - what happens next?

4. Try it out on your school group (4-5 students). Compare scripts.

5. Come up with a full script combining all 4 - 5 scripts (their essence) and act it out. Video tape it and show to the whole class.

1. You have been asked by a couple who are about to move into their new home to give them a quote to repaint. Three rooms need repainting - the walls in the living area and two of the bedrooms as they are painted a very bright yellow. 

Bedroom 1 has two walls measuring 3 m long and 2.4 m high, and the remaining two walls 2 m long and 2.4 m high.

Bedroom 2 has all walls measuring 2.5 m in length and 2.4 m high.

The living area has two walls measuring 3.5 m long with 2.4 m height, and 2 walls measuring 3 m long with height of 2.4 m.

If 1 L of wall paint covers 16m2 of wall and the walls all need 2 coats of paint, how many litres will be needed?

1 L – $32.90
2 L – $42.90
4 L – $53.90
10 L –$103

What would be the cheapest combination of tubs to buy to paint all the rooms?


What would your quote be if you had to buy the paint and pay two painters for 3 days to complete the job (one day is for preparing the rooms and cutting in).

You pay your painters $45/hour and require them to work an eight hour day. To obtain a quote, you need to make a profit. The usual is 2/3 the cost of the painters added on for the profit.
