1. In groups of 3 - 4 students, read the following article from The Conversation 21 December 2018 2. You are to re-read this article taking note of the facts and figures. What fish are bycatch? List them.
3. What questions would you like to ask the authors for clarification? List them. 4. Read the following report from Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences [ABARES] and add to your list of facts and figures.
5. One of the species of bycatch mentioned in both the Conversation and ABARES is the Ocean Jacket [Nelusetta ayraud]. Look at the following information about this fish from these websites. Divide your reading and notetaking between the group and use the Expert Jigsaw Strategy to get all the information from these websites to your group - including ABARES website.
