Creating a "Google Doodle" to celebrate the youth of today and issues effecting them Primary Middle Secondary Australian Curriculum General Capability: Literacy Australian Curriculum General Capability: Personal and social capability Australian Curriculum General Capability: ICT Capability Australian Curriculum General Capability: Intercultural Understanding Australian Curriculum Cross Curriculum Priorities: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures Cooperative Learning Activity
1. In groups of 3 - 4 students, you are to create a "Google Doogle" representing a youth or young person you admire - Australian, International or in your community.
Some examples might be Malala, Greta Thunberg, Grace Tame, Nic & Lucas, Paul Vasileff, Ash Barty, and, Isobel Marshall; or an important issue. The linked names are on On the Job.
Think about who you will create a Google Doogle for and the simple message or icons that will accompany your person or issue. Here are some examples of famous Australians:

Here is an example - “Doodle 4 Google 2015 was won by Ineka Voigt from Canberra High School in ACT, for her entry ‘Stolen Dreamtime’” for Australia Day 2016.

to see what Google wants and how to enter for a competition. There are 5
grade groups - including Years 6 - 7; 8-9 and 10 - 12.

4. You can either have a class Doodle Google display or enter the Doodle Google competition.
