2. With a room in mind, maybe your bedroom, list the possible options you might have to re-design your room. Take a photo of your room to share with your partner.

3. Use ONE option to change your room. Take a further photo to share with your partner.

4. Write a paragraph describing how you feel now in your room. Do you have any different feelings from the way you felt before in this room?

1. Form a group of 4 - 5 students and read the following article from The Conversation 5 July 2018 Reading

2. List the reasons given of the connection between homelessness, self-esteem and interior design.

3. Write down the interior design changes provided.

4. Visit a homeless shelter and note down the interior design changes you would make to this shelter (or a room in this shelter) to make it feel more home like. Remember to interview the people living here about what they would like to see.

5. When you get back to school, discuss your changes with your group. Come to concensus about the changes you would make.

6. Draw up these changes and estimate the cost.

7. Go back to the shelter and talk to the administrator and find out if your class raised the money would they be prepared to have these changes made.

8. Organise a fund raising drive to cover the cost.

9. Carry out the changes and interview the people involved to see if they like the differences. Make adjustments to your design.

10. Individually, write down how you felt about this project in a paragraph.
