FEAST is a Year 5 and 6 curriculum-aligned education program, inspiring kids to eat healthy, waste less and become change-makers in their local community. Like any good FEAST, it’s designed to be fun, engaging and filled with good food! It runs for 7-10 weeks and is aligned to the Australian Curriculum STEM and English Learning Areas. The program can be adapted to suit your school’s needs and can be delivered in an online learning environment.

To run the program, teachers are encouraged to sign up to teacher training provided by OzHarvest – a professional learning teacher training day or an online training module that is quick and easy to complete. Schools also get access to online learning resources including 10 detailed lesson plans, student worksheets, videos, recipes books, the FEAST practical cooking guide and ongoing support from the FEAST team. 1. In groups of 3 - 4 students, create a list of all the vegetable names that you eat in your family or yourself or both! Put these vegetable names into alphabetical order and put them into your notebook.

2. Over the course of a month, tick off the vegetables that you have eaten each day. Add to the list if you hadn't listed a vegetable before but are now eating it.

3. Which ones do you like?

4. In a graph, show the name of the vegetable and the number of times you have eaten it over the month.

5. Have you grown any - tick off the list

6. As a class, work out who has 5 vegetables a day? Who has or is growing vegetables?
