1. In groups of 4 - 5 students, investigate the website: Kids2Kids Dominic Mortimer started this charity when he was 12 to help young people in Africa. This is just one way to help other students. 2. Brainstorm together to think of various ways your group could help other people: at your school or district. Write down as many possibilities as possible. Look at each one through the lens of "achieveable"? Is there anything you can do to help? 3. Commit as a group to one of these achieveable projects for the year.

4. As a class, hold a Community of Inquiry and use the articles presented as your stimulus material to get a thinking question from each group. 5. Discuss the questions: Could the controversial child protection reforms in NSW lead to another Stolen Generation? What affects on the whole community will occur? Is this a "subtle" form of racism?
